19 Dec An Unwitting Hiatus
When I started my own practice, I specifically set out to operate my practice in a way that was different. I wanted to attract good clients, clearly, but I wanted to be a different kind of lawyer.
Well, as it turns out, that is easier said than done. Sure, there are somethings that I do that most of my colleagues around here do not, such as I don’t pay big money for an office, I keep my overhead pretty low, etc.
I also make sure that, to the extent practicable, I try to give my clients a budget, give them a “Bill of Rights” and mind their bill so I am not wasting their money (and avoiding the “why is my bill so high” discussions.
But I find myself struggling to make this space more relevant. Which is funny, since I am married to a very good marketing executive.
So, in an effort to do things a little different, I am going to fully tap into my wife’s expertise and try to make this space a lot more enjoyable and relevant for clients, current and potential.
See you in the New Year.
