As the government starts to make plans for recovery and loosening some of the restrictions put In place during the pandemic, a key concern for employers will be worker safety. Here is the link to the OSHA site for guidance on worker safety. You can also check out the CDC for additional general information.
Employers will also need to be prepared to address accommodations for employees who may have medical needs to avoid returning to the workplace. That means understanding the basics of the Americans with Disabilities Act interactive process. But it will also mean being creative when it comes to accommodations. Here is a helpful resource, but always check with counsel before deploying the suggested accommodations.
