Why Job Descriptions Matter for Disability Accommodations

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, employers need to know what a job entails in terms of requirements. While a job description certainly helps, the description may need to include specific physical, training, experience, and other factors as well. Knowing what a job needs helps determine if a requested job accommodation is appropriate or if it is an undue burden.
