Non-compete agreements (and non-solicitation agreements) are used by many businesses to help prevent the loss of business when an employee leaves. But the agreements are often too broadly written, disfavored by courts, often used improperly, and difficult if not impossible to enforce against many former employees. This session will talk about how to have effective non-compete, who should and should not be using them, and alternatives to achieving the same goals of protecting your business.
